STANDARD WEST WIND MODEL 40

The standard West Wind is constructed of 18-gauge stainless steel with a #3 finish on all exposed surfaces. Grease extractors are stainless steel and UL classified. Supply air is introduced through fixed vane diffusers backed by a heavy duty opposed blade damper assembly.
APPLICATION
This unit can be used over any cooking battery.

STANDARD WEST WIND MODEL 40

WEST WIND MODEL 60

The West Wind 60 inside/outside discharge is constructed with the same materials and finishes as the West Wind 40. Supply air is directed toward the interior of the canopy as well as toward the interior of the room. Hoods in this configuration may require tempered make-up air. Check local code requirements.
APPLICATION
This unit can be used over any cooking battery.

WEST WIND MODEL 60

WEST WIND MODEL 70

The West Wind 70 front discharge is constructed in the same manner as the West Wind 40. Supply air is directed into the room through adjustable vane diffusers backed by a heavy duty opposed blade damper assembly. With this arrangement, supply air can be used in conjunction with building supply air to create a desired pressure in the area. Tempering of supply air may be required. Check local code requirements.
APPLICATION
This unit can be used over any cooking battery.

WEST WIND MODEL 70

WEST WIND MODEL 80

The West Wind 80 is constructed of 18-gauge stainless steel with a #3 finish on all exposed surfaces. Grease extractors are stainless steel and UL classified. Optional supply air is introduced through make-up air chamber on rear of hood.
APPLICATION
This unit can be used over any cooking battery.

All components, with the exception of inter-connecting ductwork, will be furnished by WEST WIND, Division of Quality Custom Fabricators, Grand Prairie, Texas. The integrated system shall be comprised of the canopy, the supply air unit and the exhaust fan and controls.

Canopy

The canopy will be UL listed. All fabrication is to be in strict accordance with NFPA #96 and will carry NSF Seal of Approval. The interior liner of the hood shall be 18 gauge stainless steel, type 304, #3 polish. The outer shell will be 18 gauge stainless steel type 304, #3 polish. Unexposed areas will be 18 gauge galvanized steel.

All exterior seams and joints are to be heliarc welded fully liquid tight and ground and polished to match adjacent surfaces. Where two or more canopies are joined together for a single application, a cover strip is to be furnished for field installation. Canopy shall be provided with hanging brackets welded to top of canopy - for use with ½" all thread rod to allow for alignment and leveling.

Supply Plenum

The supply plenum shall be lined with 1" thick 3-pound foil backed insulation to prevent condensation.

Baffle Filters

Filters are to be UL classified, non-clogging, baffle type and shall be removable for cleaning purposes. Filter will be constructed of galvanized steel, stainless steel or Teflon coated steel as options. Exhaust plenum surfaces and filters shall drain into a full length grease trough with removable grease container.

Lights

Vapor proof incandescent lights with shatterproof globes and wire guards shall be installed at approximately three (3) feet intervals and shall be UL listed for use in commercial cooking applications. Lights shall be completely prewired to a junction box located on top of the canopy. Connecting ductwork, wiring between canopy and roof top unit, not furnished.
